Entry requirements: Admission is based on the guidance for qualification requirements to training centre personnel as per Appendix 13 Recommendations on the organisation and inspection of training centres approved by the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport in 2016.
Course outline
Instructor training is built in three modules:
- Simulator training of the candidate instructor in all programmes where his involvement is planned. This module is skipped if simulator training certificates are already available.
- Instructor training according to IMO model course 6.09 (Training course for instructors).
- and/or Simulator Instructor and assessor training according to IMO model course 6.10 (Train the simulator trainer and assessor).
- Special training of instructors in different areas of simulation training (ISPS, shipboard damage control, tanker training, etc.)
Course duration and cost depend on candidate qualification and experience (both pedagogic and seagoing service experience). To confirm duration and cost please submit the Application Form for each participant to the Makarov Training Centre (ASimonyan@mtc.spb.su).
Document on completion
Upon successful completion of the course the participants are issued with the certificate by the Makarov Training Centre of Admiral MAKAROV SUMIS.
